Master planning is undertaken in conjunction with Integrated Site Design, a Sydney based specialist in planning design and management and the respective lessor.
Master plans are supported by extensive stakeholder consultation, best practice reviews, vision statements, financial modelling and staging solutions for proposed developments and infrastructure.
Southern Cross Parks is committed to delivering quality and consistent caravan park experiences to the touring public and to date has invested in a range of capital improvements at its parks including new villas, camp kitchens, bunkhouses, dump points, kid’s playgrounds, power heads and wireless internet.
Southern Cross Parks works with a range of preferred partners who have extensive experience in the supply, delivery and installation of caravan park infrastructure. Preferred capital improvement partners include the Uniplan group who provide relocatable cabins, ablutions, amenities and camp kitchens and K-MAC Powerheads who provide power heads.
Southern Cross Parks are supported by a range of collateral including brochures, park maps, loyalty cards and signage. Significant effort is also placed on search engine optimisation (SEO) and all aspects of digital marketing.
Where ever possible Southern Cross Parks also looks to join its parks into either Family Parks, Top Tourist Parks or BIG4 to leverage off their large and loyal customer base of young families and grey Nomads. Southern Cross Parks individual parks are also members of the Caravan, RV and Accommodation industry Association of Australia and support their various marketing initiatives.
Southern Cross Parks are all linked via the RMS property management system to online bookings and take direct and indirect bookings from a range of booking channels. The RMS property management system also provides management with live park information via the RMS Cloud enabling management to log in at any time of the day remotely from anywhere in the world.
Southern Cross Parks park managers take an active role in local tourism promotion and chamber of commerce’s.
Southern Cross Parks also promotes its parks at key national caravan and camping shows.
Quality and Consistency
Southern Cross Parks are mystery shopped regularly and the results used to improve quality and consistency. Guests are encouraged to complete guest feedback cards and these are used to improve the quality of experience provided within the parks.
All Southern Cross Parks are accredited under T-Qual Accreditation and are star rated via AAA Star Ratings Scheme. Southern Cross Parks aims to have all its parks at a 3½ star level.
All Southern Cross Parks are managed using the same set of systems and procedures and these are covered in the operations manual for each park. This consistent approach encompasses all aspects of park management and includes:
- Amenity and cabin cleaning
- Back office
- Customer service
- Maintaining park grounds, facilities, security and OH&S
- Sales and marketing
- Staff management
All Southern Cross Parks are also members of the relevant state industry body. in New South Wales this is the Caravan and Camping industry Association of New South Wales. In the case of Queensland, Caravanning Queensland and Victoria, VIC Parks. This enables our park managers to obtain up to date information on industry trends and changes in relevant caravan park legislation.
